CHICAGO — One of baseball’s most unique streaks continues to grow.

The Dodgers entered the first game of Monday’s series against the White Sox with a 22-0 record this season when Venezuelan Miguel Rojas has had at least one hit. Not only did that streak extend to 23-0 in a 3-0 victory at Guaranteed Rate Field, but Rojas started the rally that decided the game.

Rojas began the seventh inning with a double into the left field corner against right-hander Steven Wilson. He scored two batters later, when Puerto Rican Enrique “Kike” Hernández hit an RBI double down the left field line, breaking the scoreless tie.

Rojas finished the night 2-for-4, adding a single in the fourth inning. The 35-year-old started at shortstop for the sixth time in seven games since Mookie Betts broke his left hand on June 16.

With Betts scheduled to be sidelined for six to eight weeks, Rojas is expected to take on an even more prominent role for the Dodgers. The right-handed hitter is in the midst of what has been a turnaround season on a personal level, with a .284/.324/.440 offensive line in 49 games.
