Ecuador will face Mexico in a key match for the other place in the quarterfinals of the America Cupand CONMEBOL confirmed the refereeing shortlist for this Sunday’s match at State Farm Stadium.

Mario Escobar will be the main judge, the Guatemalan has experience in the Central American Qualifiers and in international tournaments of CONCACAF clubs.

He also comes from directing the match in which Canada beat Peru 1-0 on matchday 2 of the tournament.

Refereeing body for the Ecuador-Mexico match:

• Central referee: Mario Escobar – Guatemala

• Assistant 1: Luis Ventura – Guatemala

• Assistant 2: Brooke Mayo – United States

• Fourth referee: Victoria Penso – United States

• Fifth referee: Kathryn Nesbitt – United States

• VAR: Silvio Trucco – Argentina

• AVAR: Rodrigo Carvajal – Chile

This Sunday at 7:00 p.m., La Tri will have to win or tie against Mexico to advance to the quarterfinals of the Copa América.
