Year 841, King Harol has died. The news of his death spreads throughout the kingdom and the crown passes to Magnus, his arrogant son, who has never set foot on the battlefield.
To make matters worse, the pestilence, a cursed plague that had been eradicated for a thousand years, has returned and corrupts everything and everyone it touches, devastating the land it passes through. The madrigal Seline, an ambitious and ruthless figure in the church, believes that the pestilence will give him the opportunity to prove his worth in the eyes of her god.
All of these forces converge on Sacra, where rebel groups and the local government fight to gain control of the island’s decaying ruins.
You are part of the Cerim, a group of sacred mystical warriors with incredible powers who have sworn to end the pestilence no matter what the cost. However, your mission will become increasingly complicated as you become involved in the plight of the people and the enormous political problems of this oppressed land. Chaos will drag you in all directions as you try to eliminate evil from the land and shape the destiny of the kingdom.
