Rokuthe California-based smart TV operating system and Caixunone of the six main television manufacturing exporters in China, presented three models of televisions to the Peruvian market, the Caixun Roku TV, which include the Roku operating system.

In this way, Roku consolidates its expansion commitment in Latin America through alliances with TV manufacturers, while maintaining the sale of television devices. Without specifying percentages Alex Dalessio, Roku’s Latam sales director, explained that both business lines do not compete with each other, but rather complement each other. “Many start by buying the Roku device and later purchase a television with our operating system,” the Brazilian executive explained to AmericaEconomy.

In addition to the alliance with Caixun, Roku also maintains partnerships with other television manufacturers such as AOC, Sharp, InFocus, JVC, Polaroid, Philips, Sanyo, Westinghouse, and ATVIO.

“We design all our televisions with the user in mind, and the televisions Caixun Roku TV are no different: the Peruvian consumer will get the best of Roku and Caixun with hardware quality, software intuitive and thousands of channels streaming free and paid, all at an affordable price”, commented Arthur van Rest, International Vice President of Roku. “We are very excited to partner with Caixun again, this time to bring more options and delight to Peru.”

“At Caixun our goal is to make the best technology accessible at affordable prices. In this sense, we are very satisfied with our partnership with Roku, which will allow us to continue improving our product offering and offer a better value proposition to all our customers,” said Franco Massardo, Country Manager of Caixun.

In 2023, Roku and Caixun teamed up for the first time and introduced models of Caixun Roku TV in Chile. Now, the companies are expanding their collaboration to Peru and Caixun becomes the third brand on the market that offers televisions with an operating system Roku. In the Latin American region, including Mexico and Brazil, Roku works hand in hand with 20 different global and local brands, providing consumers with options for a seamless streaming experience on a variety of screen sizes and technologies.

Currently, Roku has nearly 80 million global users, the vast majority of them concentrated in the United States. Talso operates The Roku Channel, a free and premium entertainment channel with exclusive access to Roku Originals.
