Make and answer calls via text messages, a Galaxy AI option – Samsung Newsroom Colombia

With the “Text Call” function, it is possible to answer a call through messages in high noise environments.

In an effort to provide advanced and functional experiences for users, Samsung – through Galaxy AI – introduces the “Text Call” feature. In this way, users of folding devices, Galaxy Z Fold5 5G and Z Flip5 5G can access this service.

Unlike traditional voice calls, this Artificial Intelligence feature allows users to make and answer calls via text messages. To do this, the user must first activate it by accessing the “Text call” option available in the “Call settings” menu.

After activation, the functionality will be available for the user to use. To do this, the user simply selects the “Call Assistant” option when receiving or making a call and chooses the “Text Call” function.

With the selected command, an automatic message will be dictated to whoever is calling or receiving the call. The conversation can then be started in the way the user prefers, with automatic responses or by writing what they would like to say to whoever is on the other end of the line, providing a more flexible form of communication adapted to different situations.

The “Text Call” feature is useful in situations where it is not convenient to make or receive a voice call, such as in noisy environments or during meetings. Instead of interrupting what is being done to answer the call, the user can send a quick text message to convey what they would like to say.

In addition, it is an interesting option for those who receive many calls and want to know the topic to discuss before answering the incoming call. As in the case of customer service calls, call centers or calls from unknown numbers.

Smartphones with Galaxy AI can be purchased from the official Samsung store at Samsung.com.co or in physical stores throughout the country.
