Apple has revealed that the launch of iOS 17.5 will be very soon and this could be the chosen week

Apple is already preparing iOS 17.5 which is currently in beta phase, however we can know when this new iPhone update full of new features will be released. Apple has unveiled its Pride 2024 collection with new wallpapers, faces and strap for the Apple Watch and, unintentionally, has told us when iOS 17.5 will be released.

Apple has revealed that these new features will be present in the next updates to watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5 and iPadOS 17.5 and that the new strap could be purchased starting May 22which makes us think that Apple will release iOS 17.5 and the rest of the updates during that same week.

The Pride Radiance face and iPhone and iPad wallpapers will be available soon with watchOS 10.5, iOS 17.5, and iPadOS 17.5.

Currently, iOS 17.5 is in beta 4 and the Release Candidate version has yet to be released. So we expect the final launch to occur within two weeks.

iOS 17.5 is the fifth major update of iOS 17 and probably one of the last before the presentation of iOS 18. So, although there are interesting new features, many improvements are reserved for the future update.

Installation of apps via web or “sideloading”

Europe has forced Apple to allow the installation of applications on the iPhone from outside the App Store and, in addition to alternative app stores, such as AltStore, users will be able to install applications directly from the developer’s website starting with iOS 17.5. This means that the iPhone will allow what is known as “sideloading.”

iOS 17.5 is the first version of the iPhone that allows this type of app installation, for the moment it will only be available in Europe. It is expected that over the next few weeks developers who choose this option will begin to appear.

Repair mode

iOS 17.5 introduces an option that allows send an iPhone for repair without turning off Search and activation lock. This was something essential until now that could put our privacy at risk, but now it can be solved by activating this mode from the Search app.

• The Reading Goal icon has been redesigned in the Books app.
• In settings we have a new section called Web browser access to passwords within Privacy and security.
