Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer’s Fallout 76 camp has been bombed by a playerafter the company announced the closure of four studios, including Tango Gameworks, developers of Hi-Fi Rush.

Fallout 76 allows players the possibility of creating nuclear bombs, something that is not entirely easy and for which they must go through an arduous process to gather the necessary materials. Despite this, one player took the trouble and apparently, as a protest against the closure of the studios, decided to drop a bomb on the Xbox executive’s base.

The image of the attack was shared through Twitter, where you can seer a huge red circle around the ‘P3’ camp, which is the Xbox gamertag that Phil Spencer occupies.

The attack was recognized by another social network user, who shared images touring the devastated place, while also being filled with praise.

Four studios closed

During the day on Tuesday, Microsoft announced the closure of four studios Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Studios and Roundhouse Games.

The news was known through an internal email from Matt Booty, director of Xbox Game Studios, where he informed employees of the decision, pointing out that it is a movement in order to “reprioritize titles and resources.”

In the case of Tango Gameworks, the decision attracted attention since in 2023 they launched the acclaimed Hi-Fi Rush, game that achieved great success and was highlighted by the same people at Microsoft.

After the closure became known, the head of Arkane Lyon, Arkane Austin’s sister studio, Dinga Bakaba, questioned the decision while describing it as “terrible” and pointing out that it is a “stab in the stomach” by Microsoft.

The closure of these studios comes after last January, Microsoft announced the dismissal of 1,900 employees from its video game division, thus affecting Activision Blizzard, ZeniMax and Xbox.
