A game to crush heretics with tons of humor
Regarding its gameplay, Cult of the Lamb is divided into two very different parts, with totally different mechanics and objectives. The first of them will be management of our sectmust maintain the care of our faithful by ensuring that they maintain a high level of faith in our leadership.
The second of the main mechanics puts a foot in the genre roguelite allowing us to leave our lair to explore the map massacring infidels and heretics who have not joined our cause. Being a roguelite, this means thatAll the scenarios we go through will be generated procedurallyso no two games will be the same.
When we are out of our lair, we will have to face a large number of enemies that will be generated randomly in each of the rooms we pass through, finding different types of weapons along the way (also randomly generated) that end in a confrontation against a final boss who will provide us with valuable loot.
Yes indeed, After each adventure outside our sect our equipment will be resetalthough not the tarot cards that will give us very useful improvements in combat and that we will find by defeating the strongest enemies.
Cult of the Lamb also has a small narrative touch in these exploration and combat sections, as sometimes we will find some NPCs that explain a little about the lore of that world and the motivations of our enemies.
Although it might seem otherwise if you just take a quick look at their screenshots, Cult of the Lamb is not a game for children. Quite the opposite. The games will be full of vomiting, blood, violence and satanic elements as well as sacrifices, and although humor is the basis of the title, it is not childish at all.
