Aloft, Dune: Awakening and Path of Exile 2 have been some of the new features that Tecent Games has announced within the framework of the video game events that have been held this weekend, and which include a wide variety of titles from various genres.
The Chinese video game developer has participated in the PC Gaming Show – which has celebrated its tenth edition – and Summer Game Fest, where it has announced the new features that will soon arrive for players; new titles and trailers for video games from its associated studios, such as Level Infinite, TiMi Studios, Funcom and Secret Mode, among others.
In this context, Tecent has shared a new trailer for Aloft, the multiplayer survival video game that takes as its setting a world full of floating islands, each with its own particular ecosystem. In this adventure, players will be able to turn any island into their own ship and travel among the clouds, together with up to eight players in cooperative mode, to find new technologies, care for animals and different types of plants, and defeat fungus creatures.
Aloft will arrive on Steam in the fall of this year, and has a demo that can be accessed until next Monday, June 17. Additionally, developers Funcom and Astrolabe Interactive have announced their partnership for the publication of the title.
On the other hand, Sumo Newcastle and Secret Mode have announced Critter Café, a shopping simulator where players must solve puzzles and explore worlds with portals and “adorable” creatures. Thus, users must save all the lost Critter creatures around the world and take them to their different cafes to interact with customers. At the moment, the release date is unknown, although it will be available on Steam.
Both developers have also shared the first images of DEATHSPRINT 66 at the PC Gaming Show. Specifically, they have shown a trailer showing the dystopian environment of the video game, which “combines the fast pace of racing action and the bloody consequences of traveling along lethal tracks full of obstacles,” as they explained.
On the other hand, the new Funcom title, Dune: Awakening, has been announced. It is a story in which the creativity of sandbox survival games is combined with the social interaction of a persistent multiplayer game, as the company has qualified. All of this materializes in an open-world survival MMO that the developer has shown at the Summer Game Fest. Specifically, it offers an alternative time story to the main Dune saga.
Developer Billy Goat Entertainment and publisher Secret Mode have presented Parcel Corps, an adventure in which players must step into the shoes of couriers who use bicycles to make deliveries. Thus, through a new trailer presented at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, its launch has been announced for September 3 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
Path of Exile 2, from Grinding Gear Games, will take players back to the world of Wraeclast, where they must put an end to corruption through combat. Thus, during the Play Days, the company has shown some aspects of the action RPG, which will have a cooperative mode for up to six players and will arrive soon.
On the other hand, Tecent has also talked about Honor of Kings, the “most played multiplayer battle arena (MOBA) mobile game in the world”, as detailed by the company. Thus, the new installment will offer five-on-five player combat, and will allow you to choose between different game modes and multiple tactics to achieve different goals. Honor of Kings will be available on June 20.
Finally, Sumo Leamington and Secret Mode have presented Stampede: Racing Royale, a title that mixes ‘karting’ with the ‘battle royale’ genre on circuits where you can compete with up to 59 opponents. It will arrive in early access this year.
