Comparison of both iPhones, by sections
Design
Within Apple’s continuous line of mobile phones, the truth is that there have been certain substantial changes. Although the iPhone 14 Pro takes the lead in opening the season with the change of its dynamic island notchthe body is still a textbook iPhone 13 Pro.
The iPhone 15 Pro, for its part, counts as its main bastion the arrival of titanium as its construction material, making it more premium, shock resistant and lightweight. In addition, the screen bezels are even smaller.
Processor
Another of the natural changes between one generation of Apple and another. A habit that is increasingly being transferred to this Pro range, leaving the base model with the previous year’s processor. The iPhone 14 Pro has the A16 Bionic chip, while the most recent model integrates the new A17 Pro.
The first clear difference is in its construction, moving on to be the first chip manufactured by Apple in 3 nanometers. The first two high-performance cores in the 17 Pro are 10% faster than those in the A16, along with a 6-core GPU that’s 20% faster.
Camera
In this section, we do not find differences in the composition and resolution of the different camera sensors. However, with the advancement in the operating system, the 15 Pro has achieved a improved image processing.
Software is the biggest culprit for the jump in quality from the 14 Pro to the new model, fast shooting, and improved HDR.
Operating system updates
Speaking of the operating system, there is an important point to mention. Apart from the fact that the iPhone 15 Pro already has iOS 17 as a base, Its update life will be longer than that of the iPhone 14 Pro. Of course, it is not a differential aspect if these updates are not a priority for you.
Connections and connectivity
Beyond the innovations in connectivity, which are rather few beyond the jump to Bluetooth 5.3, all eyes were focused on the arrival of the USB-C port. A milestone that has made the legendary Lightning pass away, now having a much more standardized charging port.
This, without a doubt, is a clear advantage over the iPhone 14 Pro, not to mention that the 15 Pro integrates the USB 3.2 protocol of up to 10 Gbps, much faster than USB 2.0.
Why choose the iPhone 15 Pro
- The camera evolves thanks to the software
- The titanium material gives it a more premium and resistant jump
