Diablo 4 wants to continue convincing players by doing something very simple: listening to their opinions
The journey of Diablo 4 since its premiere it has been full of ups and downs. In this first year of life there have been moments in which we have thought that the game was entering a negative spiral from which it was impossible to escape and others in which optimism has been overflowing. Blizzard, however, has grown tired of each new season being a coin toss. The developer does not want its ARPG to continue living in roller coaster mode and seems to have found the key to avoid it. At least, that’s the conclusion after the company has made its final announcements about the future of the title.
Diablo 4 bets again on a test server
Diablo 4 Season 5 can be tested ahead of time through the Public Test Realm. This ‘testing’ server with a bombastic name has been key in changing the face of the video game. This is a public beta that all players can access to test the new content and give feedback to the developers so that they can make changes for its final release. Is something Blizzard first used in Season 4 which, practically unanimously, the community considers to be the best in the year that has passed since the premiere took place.
When will the beta for Season 5 be? The developers of Diablo 4 have not yet dared to confirm the opening dates of the test server with the new ‘season’ patch. However, the announcement of the date should not take too long. Bizarro’s plan is to release the Season 4 Mid-Patch “sometime next week” and host a chat with players about the next big update on June 21. It will be in that talk, at the latest, when we know what day the PTR will be available.
The test server has helped players feel more involved in the development and it is a tool that contributes positively, but it must be recognized that the radical change that Diablo 4 has undergone goes a little further than that. Blizzard has known how to stop and listen to the players and make adjustments in relation to your sensations. In this sense, the good relationship between those in charge of the video game and the community is what really makes us think that this high point can be maintained over time.
