Last summer we saw how under the Gigabyte gaming brand, AORUSa new M.2 SSD capable of reach 12,000 MB/s. Now the manufacturer presents us its top of the range AORUS Gen 5 14000where the numbering refers to the maximum speed achieved of 14,000 MB/s. This model comes for fold sequential reading of the highest speed units in the last generation PCIe 4.0.
This new album AORUS Gen5 14000 SSD arrives to crown itself at the top of this series of Gigabyte SSD drives. It has a NVMe 2.0 interface and with a DDR4 DRAM cache, just like the other model that we had already seen. The manufacturer itself already warns us that we should not use this unit without a heatsink, and that it should be used with plates where it has one integrated. Includes a Phison E26 controller manufactured with a 12nm process to offer up to 8 channels NAND Flash.
Speaking of its speed, this unit specifically reaches up to 14,500 MB/s sequential reading and up to 12,700 MB/s sequential writing (the version 2TB). Have been added 232 layer memory chips for capacities 1, 2 and 4 TB with a warranty from the manufacturer of 5 years. Also offered monitoring and other data of interest through Gigabyte software. At the moment there is no known recommended price for the different capacities.
