This is the case of the announcement of the departure of New World for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5, now with the Aeternum subtitle (although will also come to PC). What is New World: Aeternum
New World: Aeternum is the name that the console version of the Amazon MMORPG released in 2021 will receive. Although the content of this version will include everything there is for the PC Currently, there are a series of changes that will differentiate it and that are designed to entertain those who have never tried it and are current generation console players from Sony and Microsoft, although they will also be available for the PC version. New World: Aeternum Closed Beta
It will be possible to see these changes first-hand thanks to a closed beta which will take place in the month of July. To sign up for it and have the option to try this new version of New World, the process is very simple. We simply have to go to the official page to register for the Beta and log in with our Amazon account (the same one you use for other company services)
Once there we select the version for the console of our choice and that’s it. If we are selected for the Closed Beta, an email will be sent to us to our email addresses (the one associated with the Amazon account, obviously) in which we will be notified that we can play it.
How long will the New World: Aeternum closed beta last?
The beta will last a week entire, from 18:00 (Spanish peninsular time) from July 11 until that same hour of July 17th. However, if we are selected for the closed beta, we will be able to preload the client of the game on July 9 at 6:00 p.m. (also Spanish peninsular time).
The Closed Beta will be exclusive to console players, but you will not need a subscription to PS Plus or Game Pass in order to run; Not so when it is launched, which will require one.
When will New World: Aeternum come out?
The update for pc and the launch of the console version are expected this October 15. Those who participate in the Closed Beta will be able to have access to almost all of the game’s content, except for the gorgon nest, rankings, in-game store or season pass.
Progress from the Closed Beta will not transfer to the final version of the game and will only be localized in English (although a Spanish version will be available for the release). One last detail: while the code for your closed beta on Xbox will not be region-specific, those for the PlayStation version yes they will be and furthermore they can only activate in North America and Europe.
