It appears that the skill tree in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is “very influenced” for the progression that can be seen in the Final Fantasy RPGs 10 and 12.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard appeared at the Xbox Games Showcase and BioWare presented it for PCSteam Deck, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, the game will have skill trees inspired by Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy XII.
Each class has them and these have been inspired by the FFX Sphere Board and in the FFXII License Tablewhich helped shape this game in the saga after Inquisition.

The director goes on to say that this system was “very influenced” by Final Fantasy X and its spheresa huge node board that allows you to improve statistics and gain skills.
