The recent launch of the HONOR 200 Pro has revitalized the segment of devices whose camera deserves special attention. Last May, I had the opportunity to live a unique experience at the famous Harcourt photography studio. Here I share my experience with him HONOR 200 Pro Portrait Mode.

A fusion that works

To speak of the Harcourt studio is to refer to one of the most prestigious institutions of photographic art, not only in Paris, but in all of France. Founded in 1934, figures such as Charles de Gaulle, the British royal family, Salvador Dalí, and numerous renowned actors and actresses. Harcourt is distinguished by his portraits, a hallmark that has turned this space into a reference for photographic art. The study has provided his vast experience of 90 years at the service of HONOR, managing to integrate the warmth of Portrait Mode into the new HONOR 200 Pro.

Better portraits than with DSLR

The HONOR 200 Pro features a triple main camera with AI, designed to create eye-catching images with maximum quality lights and shadows. AI not only offers photographic precision, but also captures facial features to show all faces, using various Portrait, background and lighting options for stunning images. The long and illustrious history of Studio Harcourt is linked to cinema, art and literature, with all the glamor of mythical stars. Its exclusive lighting technique uses light to sculpt faces and silhouettes. There are three Harcourt styles in Portrait Mode: Vibrant, Color and Classic.

In collaboration with Studio Harcourt, HONOR AI Portrait Engine manages to combine the studio’s craftsmanship and its understanding of the expression of shadows and light, allowing you to easily capture unique portraits full of personality. It is the result of the joint work of more than 20 image experts from Studio Harcourt and HONOR over more than a year.

The HONOR 200 Pro shares the same camera module as the HONOR Magic6 Pro, which I had the opportunity to see firsthand at MWC last February. However, in this case, the device goes one step further in Portrait Mode. He has captured the essence of Harcourt, capturing it in his photographs. Personally, I’m a fan of Portrait Mode; I use it with my daughters, friends and people of whom I want to capture something that transcends the image itself.

We’ll always have Paris

The famous phrase from “Casablanca” makes sense here. The appointment was at Studio Harcourt, a place that in itself is worth visiting. This space offers a tour of the world of 20th century photography and is a mandatory stop for any lover of this art. Harcourt has unique experience and know-how. But you don’t always have the opportunity to try a new Portrait Mode with a no less innovative device and with a professional model.

Photography experience at Studio Harcourt

After some brief tests and a quick exploration of the device, we went to a room where the model was waiting for us, suitably prepared and with a lighting set designed to provide a good result. I recognize that, at times, I came to feel small because I was enjoying the experience of having a professional model and a technical team at my disposal while shooting with a mobile phone. But I recognize that the minutes I was able to do it have been recorded in my retina.

Vibrant Portrait Mode.

First of all, one is not a photography professional, in fact I don’t have my own camera, only a mobile device. But I try to take the photos as best I can.

However, during those moments I felt something different, with a model who patiently resisted a barrage of photos. And he was doing it in none other than Harcourt, in the center of Paris.

Classic Portrait Mode.

Once I had consumed my time, not the model’s infinite patience, I stood back to observe the results and be amazed. The HONOR 200 Pro carries the Portrait Mode photography to a higher level, I would dare say that there may not be a device that has reached these levels now. I couldn’t even imagine that a phone was capable of taking studio photography one step forward. As the person in charge of Harcourt said, the HONOR 200 Pro is not a camera phone, but a camera itself.

The results are obvious, this is what I managed to bring back from Paris, some different Portrait Mode photos and from which you can get excellent use. It is true that in our daily lives we do not have professional models or the best lighting, but we do have the possibility of going one step further. As a curiosity, I was lucky enough to feel like a star for a day and take my own portrait in Harcourt.

Yes, it's me.

Wanting is power

Devices like this are an invitation to explore, to know and dare to take advantage of something that we have in our hands every day, the camera of our mobile. We can obtain very interesting results if we make an effort to compose an image, to know how to capture the essence of what is portrayed and, ultimately, to appreciate the art of photography.

The HONOR 200 Pro is now available in Spain at a price of 799 euros on the manufacturer’s website. The price includes, until June 30, a gift pack with Honor Earbuds
