Logitech has presented an optical pencil or ‘stylus’ designed for the Meta Quest mixed reality headsets, with which it offers precision to create content in two and three dimensions, with the ability to personalize its use.

MX Ink has been designed to be a “natural extension” of the user’s body, so you can start using it without having to learn first, as its design aims to make it feel like a pen.

This accessory introduces a component of creativity in the use of Meta Quest, since it allows you to create in two or three dimensions, but also to write and rotate a virtual element, or even pick it up. It is designed so that it can be used by right- and left-handed users, and parameters such as the pressure curve or the initial activation force can be configured.

It offers precise control with ‘6 degrees of freedom’ (6DOF) technology, for movement through three-dimensional space, and has haptic feedback. It also supports wired charging with a USB-C connector and via a Pogo pin system, as reported on the product page.

Logitech has highlighted that, with this stylus, this is the first time that the Meta mixed reality headset supports more than two controllers paired at the same time, one of them from a third party. This means the user can switch between the Meta Quest controllers and the stylus without interrupting the experience.

The Logitch ‘stylus’ is compatible with Quest 2 and Quest 3, it has a price of 129.99 euros and although it is possible to order it, it will not be distributed until the end of September.
