Among them are its flexible class system where players can freely switch between different weapons and thus adjust their role in combat spontaneously, a dynamic world reacts to the time of day and weather, which adds excitement and variety.

Epic large-scale battles with its castle siege system

Along with the registration information, Merv Lee Kwai, who is the leader of the franchise, provided more information about this ambitious launch in a recent interview. Specifically, he talked about his enthusiasm for sieges and the technology behind them in Throne and Liberty, which pit “thousands” of players against each other in an attempt to conquer or defend a castle. Additionally, Guilds can band together to besiege it, while the players inside try to repel them. The fixed structure forces attackers to tear down outer walls, some even transforming into golems to do so, before fighting towards the throne room. If they arrive, they claim the castle and win the siege.

“It’s a huge effort to bring thousands of players together in the castle siege, but the first thing I want to say is that a big part of what makes it possible is the underlying technology. I think it’s a great tribute to what the team has been able to do.” achieve,” says Kwai.

Something that has not yet been witnessed in the game on a large scale, but according to the developer, the team is “proud” of the game’s smooth operation, even with so many players simultaneously. For now, only the PvE mode has been tested, which suggests that Throne and Liberty is a competent MMORPG with a decent variety of enemies and possible strategies for dealing with them, as well as interesting mechanical ideas for larger enemies.

Still, Kwai points out that the technology, developed by NCSoft, has been “very well done.” For its part, Amazon focuses on balancing the player experience, something facilitated by the “successful” initial technical and beta tests, key for the next open beta.
