MADRID, June 21. (Portaltic/EP) –

sony has announced that it will discontinue its Sony Rewards loyalty program, which will disappear on December 31 of this year, the date from which it will no longer be possible to redeem the accumulated points and they will be lost if they have not been spent.

Sony Rewards is an initiative available in the United States that allows players to convert the trophies they obtain from consoles into real credit to use on PlayStation Network, compatible with all platforms developed by the company.

This should not be confused with PlayStation Stars, a free PlayStation loyalty program that arrived in Spain at the end of 2022 and that allows players to win prizes for complete different campaigns and activitiesfrom which loyalty points are obtained.

These points can then be redeemed in a catalog that will include funds for the PlayStation Network (PSN) wallet and certain products from Sony’s official console store, PlayStation Store.

The company has commented that the Sony Rewards program will end on December 31, 2024, which will be the last day to redeem points in the catalog of this platform and access accounts.

This also means that, as of this date, both the website and the mobile applications will no longer be available, as stated by the company in an update to the Frequently Asked Questions section of its website.

This also determines that from this date all unredeemed points will be lost and that customer service for this program will no longer be available as of February 14, 2025.
