One UI 7 will apparently be a big revolution in terms of security, at least with the ability to lock apps with a password.

One UI 7 would allow us to lock applications with a password

First seen by Tarun Vats https://twitter.com/tarunvats33/status/1805134673200267432it looks like the upcoming One UI 7 update could introduce a built-in app locking feature. According to the screenshot, the feature would be called App Lock.

Currently, the company already offers this option through Secure Folder, which requires a few additional steps to create a copy of the application. This new App Lock feature will presumably make locking apps easier and more convenient, while eliminating the hassle of having to reconfigure an entire app.

There are many who believe that this new function of One UI 7 will be implemented to overshadow what Apple does with iOS 18. But the truth is that if it is true, then the users are the ones who will benefit from this new function.

One UI 7 should be presented in October, so we still have to wait, but everything seems to indicate that this will be one of the featured features of the system.
