Motorola has opted to renew an iconic design with the new razr 50 family, which comes with a larger external screen and includes various functions powered by artificial intelligence and the Gemini ‘app’.
A larger and smarter exterior screen is the novelty that Motorola has highlighted in its new razr 50 ultra and razr 50, since with it, it gives access to clock faces, customizable screensaver, a panel dedicated to Spotify and another to Bose, and applications like Google Photos and Gemini.
Precisely, it is the first time in this family that Google’s ‘chatbot’ is available with its application, and it does so directly on the external screen, which reaches a size of 4 inches in the razr 50 Ultra and 3.6 inches in the razr 50. With this tool you can create a road trip itinerary that includes popular sights and activities, a personalized exercise routine in seconds, and even get recipes based on what’s in the refrigerator.
AI is also present in the Razr’s camera. In the case of the ultra model, Motorola has equipped it with a 50MP high-resolution main camera system with moto ai camera features and AI-powered editing features from Google Photos. It includes a 50MP telephoto lens capable of 2x optical zoom without loss of quality.
In addition, the razr 50 ultra offers AI-powered camera features such as photo enhancement system, adaptive stabilization, action shot, long exposure and Super zoom.
The razr 50 model comes with a 50MP main camera that includes a 13MP ultra-wide-angle/macro lens, which Motorola has highlighted as an outstanding camera system that offers professional-looking photos at an affordable price.
SCREEN, PERFORMANCE and SOFTWARE
The company has protected the external screen against falls and scratches with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus glass and has reinforced the devices to have underwater protection, which allows them to withstand immersion in 1.5 meters of water for a maximum of 30 minutes.
The hinge, which has also been renewed, offers better protection against dust. It supports different degrees of opening to reveal a 6.9-inch pOLED internal screen inside the new Razr.
The motorola razr 50 ultra incorporates the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and integrates a 4,000mAh battery that offers 5W reverse charging and 15W wireless charging functions. For its part, razr 50 is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X ‘chip’ and a 4,200mAh battery with 30W TurboPower and 15W wireless fast charging.
Both devices are powered by Hello UX software and feature moto ai, a set of AI-powered features that work in the background, ranging from camera and personalization to interface navigation and search. Motorola put the two devices on sale in Spain this Tuesday. razr 50 ultra, priced at 1,199 euros, can be found in the colors Navy Blazer, Dill Green and Peach Fuzz, the Pantone Color of the Year 2024, and soon in Pink Peacock. For its part, razr 50, priced at 899 euros, is available in Beach Sand, Koala Gray and Spritz Orange colors.
