PS7 could break with Sony’s dynamics with its consoles and start a new era

According to analysts, PS6 could be the Japanese company’s last console to distribute physical games

Obviously, this is just one speculation and we will have to see what is included in Sony’s plans for the future.

Even so, it must be taken into account that the arrival of PS6 is anticipated for some time to be determined in 2028, so PS7 landing could extend until 2035 or 2036. This puts us in a decade-long environment, where technology may have advanced enough to allow the world of video games to evolve in the way the analyst mentions.

Nintendo would take a little longer to make this leap to digital

This process is already being seen with Xbox in some territories, so Mat Piscatella considers that both Microsoft and Sony will be the first to implement them in the video game sector. For his part, in relation to the third largest company in the industry, he assures that Nintendo would take a little longer to be able to implement this model, so they would have to go through two generations more to be able to see a digital-only format of those in Kyoto.
