Bad news for all the players who were hoping to play Frostpunk 2 in July. 11 bit studios has announced a delay which slightly pushes the premiere of this tough experience of strategy, survival and science fiction. In accordance with your Steam releasethe team has decided to listen to the community and implement some new features that they deserve to be in the game from launch day; something that requires a few extra weeks of work.
This decision has been made after studying feedback from players after testing the latest Frostpunk 2 beta. “Before we get into the details about the new additions, there is one drawback that we must be honest about. As we analyzed your feedback and prioritized things we wanted to add to the game, we realized that, to give them justiceto – and for guarantee the best experience possible at launch – we needed more time to finish development on Frostpunk 2. That’s why we’ve made the difficult decision to postpone its release to September 20, 2024“.
“We know this is not the news you want to hear. However, we believe these additional features are something you deserve to see in-game since the first daynot in a patch added after launch,” continues the message from the developers. “We can only hope that you understand that our decision arises from the desire to create the best possible game for you.” In this way, we are not talking about a significant delay , since the community will only have to wait a few weeks to access the experience.
