Bluesky has launched its new Starter Packs, personalized invitations aimed at users who do not have an account on the platform to join it and which bring together a series of accounts and ‘feeds’ recommended by the creators of these starter packs.

Bluesky has seen quite a bit of activity in recent months, as changes have been made such as the removal of the invitation system with which the platform debuted, as well as the integration of support for direct messages (DM) and video clips. video up to 90 seconds.

The company has now announced a novelty that is presented as Starter Packs, starter packs designed by the users themselves in a personalized way to help other people join their communities.

A starter package can be created manually or using the automatic generation tool offered by the platform. This last option comes pre-loaded with suggested users and personalized feeds, although recommendations can be removed and other items added to this list.

Each starter pack comes with a shareable link and QR code. It can also be sent via text message, shared on a social network, or posted to other apps.

Bluesky has also reported that these starter packs do not appear in the search section of the platform, so it will only be possible to join if the corresponding URL or QR has been received.

To access these starter packages, you must update Bluesky to version 1.87 of the mobile application – available through the Play Store and the App Store – or access the Desktop version of the social network, which already includes this novelty.
