Google is working on enabling different voices so that users can choose one and customize the Gemini chatbot, as they can already do with the Assistant.

The Assistant lets you customize the voice you’ll hear – feminine, masculine, calm, or warm. For example, Red and Orange are available in Spanish (Spain), while Amber, Green, and Blue are available in Spanish (United States).

Google intends to replicate these options in its Gemini chatbot, which hides in the Settings section the new ‘Gemini Voice’ option, to choose how it will sound, as shared by application analyst AssembleDebug. This option is not active at the moment, as it leads to a blank page.

In the middle of the month, the specialized portal Android Authority discovered in the beta of the Google app for Android (v15.24.28.29) a voice selection option in its code. This novelty encourages users to choose the voice for quick responses in Search, and introduces two new ones: Ruby, warmer, and River, calmer.

These options are different from the voices that allow you to customize the Assistant, but they do not show any indication that it is Gemini. And although visible in the beta, they do not generate any type of response.
