The agreement between the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) and INVAP, which has been recently renewed, has the objective of contributing to the training of highly qualified personnel and in this way strengthening technological development in the field of research in the region of Northern Patagonia.
This agreement has been in force since 2018 and its renewal represents the commitment of both parties to work on the generation of knowledge applied directly within the productive sector, responding to its requirements and demands for technological innovation. This agreement implies the commitment of both institutions to strengthen research with future co-financed scholarships.
The director of CONICET Patagonia Norte, María Celeste Ratto, highlights that “for CONICET it is essential to provide support to the productive and technological sector through the application of the results of our research. This agreement symbolizes just that, the concrete contribution we make in working together with INVAP, a flagship company in terms of technological innovation. It is a source of pride for us because in this way we are concretely contributing to regional development.”
“The relationship between research and technological development is undeniable. Science-technology-based companies, such as INVAP, transform knowledge into technological products that solve real needs,” says Verónica Garea, manager of Institutional and Strategic Relations at INVAP. “Co-financed scholarships give us the opportunity to deepen our interaction with the Science and Technology system, addressing specific topics that can be applied to our projects. It expresses the DNA of INVAP, which was born from the Science and Technology system, in a genuine and concrete way,” she adds.
It should be noted that INVAP carries out complex technological projects that have an impact on the development and insertion of Argentina as a benchmark in technological production worldwide. These links between institutions support and strengthen the national Science and Technology System.
