Motherboard Manufacturer asks Intel for a “clear solution” to the instability problems of its new CPUs or users will go to AMD

In something that is quite unusual in the tech industry, and specifically the PC industry, a spokesperson for a major motherboard manufacturer has reignited the debate over the stability of Intel’s latest processors. The spokesperson, who is likely from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte or another brand, said that a “clear solution” should be forthcoming for issues causing Unreal Engine-based games to crash on 13th and 14th Gen Intel Core CPUs.

Phrase that refers to when in early May, Intel acknowledged that it had not yet identified the root cause of certain crashes in games, particularly affecting the Core i9 14900K model. Despite BIOS updates by motherboard manufacturers and power configuration recommendations by Intel, the problem persists. Given that, many have even recommended opting for AMD’s Ryzen 7 7800X3D, which has demonstrated better performance in most gaming tests and a more affordable price.

This source also mentions this in passing, as he warns that the lack of a resolution could negatively affect sales of “Arrow Lake”, the new line of desktop processors that Intel plans to launch in the last quarter of the year.

According to a report from ZDNet Korea, the representative of the national subsidiary of a major motherboard manufacturer, who requested anonymity, told them that: “If the stability problems do not have a clear solution, it will increase customer distrust. consumers and will also slow sales of Intel’s new ‘Arrow Lake’ desktop PC processor, which will launch in the fourth quarter.”

An intervention that, as we said, is unusual, since motherboard manufacturers usually maintain a cautious relationship with the companies that produce processors and chipsets (such as Intel and AMD), avoiding public criticism. For now, we can only wait for Intel’s response and whether they provide a definitive solution to the current problem with these processors.

PC gamer buys new parts for his computer and receives a lump of clay of the same weight instead of a new CPU

For the vast majority of PC gamers, who have been learning about this platform and its components over the years, building a computer is a popular and even satisfying hobby. But while a user of this platform was looking to repair his computer and buy a new CPU online, upon receiving the package, he realized that he was the victim of a scam when he found a piece of clay wrapped in kitchen paper, in place of the processor.

According to a post on Reddit, after his PC’s motherboard stopped working, this player ordered the necessary spare parts from the American electronics chain Best Buy, including a new CPU. Full of expectations for the improvement in his computer’s performance, he opened the package only to find a lump of clay. At first he couldn’t believe his eyes, as did other people who stumbled upon the user’s story, after it quickly spread online.
