KATHMANDU, March 28: The price of gold, which has remained consistently high, has once again emerged to nearly Rs 128,000 per tola.

As reported by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the trading price for fine gold on Thursday stands at Rs 127,900 per tola.

Although there was a general decline last Tuesday, on Wednesday it increased by Rs 400 to become Rs 126,800 per tola. On Thursday, there is an increase of Rs 1,100 per tola.

With an increase of Rs 200 per tola compared to last Sunday, gold price reached Rs 126,700 per tola on Monday. On Tuesday, the transaction price was reduced by Rs 300 per tola.

Compared to the beginning of the current month, gold price per tola has increased by Rs 2,100 in 15 days. On March 14, gold was traded at Rs 125,800 per tola. It reached Rs 127,800 per tola last Thursday.

The price of silver has also increased. On Thursday, the trading price of silver is Rs 1,510 per tola, compared to the previous day. Yesterday, the price was Rs 1,490 per tola.

Last Tuesday, silver was priced at Rs 1,505 per tola, and on Monday, it stood at Rs 1,515 per tola. The price had reached Rs 1,555 per tola last Thursday.

In the international market, gold is trading at $2195.11 per ounce on Thursday, compared to $2176.49 per ounce on Wednesday and $2172.08 per ounce on Tuesday.

Silver, on the other hand, rose to $24.65 per ounce on Thursday, having traded at $24.43 per ounce on Wednesday and $24.64 per ounce on Tuesday.
