Building Collapse: 65-year-old Dies After Building Collapses In Gwalior | Bhopal News

Bhopal: A 65-year-old man died after a four-storeyed building collapsed onto his kutcha house in Gwalior on Monday. The incident took place in the Hazira Char city block at around 1:30pm. The collapse was attributed to the excavation work on an adjacent plot.The deceased Jagdish was inside his ancestral house when the neighboring building collapsed onto his house.Jagdish, a retired Municipal Corporation worker, resided alone in his kutcha home, while his family lived in a new residence nearby. The neighboring house was unoccupied at the time of the incident as the family was away attending a wedding. Rescue efforts were initiated immediately, with two JCBs deployed to clear the debris and recover Jagdish’s body. After three hours, the rescue teams managed to lift the collapsed roof and recover his remains from the rubble. Police have registered a case. tnn
