Fanor Zelaya is the man who died instantly when a cistern tank, in which he was doing welding work, burst. It was preliminarily reported that two more people were seriously injured. It happened on Friday night near a pump in the city of Yacuiba.

After 9:00 p.m., according to El Chaco Informa, the roar of an explosion shook the vicinity of the Tero Tero pump, on international route 9, about 5 kilometers from the center of Yacuiba.

The event caused alarm among people who were passing by or parked in the area.

The driver of a tanker on a property where these vehicles transporting fuel from Argentina are parked, said that the sound was so loud that it shook the cabin of his motor vehicle where he was resting.

“I went out, I came to see, and I saw that two people were lying near the cistern, one had burns. They were taken to the hospital, they were alive,” he told this media.

About 25 meters from the tank, Don Fanor Zelaya was lying on the ground, already lifeless. When the rescue teams arrived they confirmed that he had died, probably instantly, since, according to witnesses, he had an opening in his skull.

The cistern tank in the same way. The entire roof was opened, leaving only the side walls, holding in place but with several dents and twists.

An official report from the Police is expected.
