The hosts were in control from the start with hooker Johan Grobbelaar scoring within the first 7 minutes of the game. Outside center David Kriel scored the Bulls’ second try 15 minutes later, with Chris Smith converting both tries.

The visitors finally had a chance to score on the half-hour mark thanks to slick handling by the Ospreys tight five with scrum-half Luke Davies rounding off the charge. But barely three minutes later, Kurt-Lee Arendse scored again for the Bulls with Canan Moodie scoring their fourth try just before halftime.

The Bulls had a comfortable 35 – 14 lead at the turnaround, but were far from finished. Within the first five minutes of the second half, both Moodie and Embrose Papier scored again for the home side, with Chris Smith making no mistakes with the conversions.

Ospreys fought back and inside center Keiran Williams managed to score for the visitors before the close of the third quarter. But poor discipline by fullback Max Nagy resulted in a yellow card for a deliberate knockdown and a penalty try for the Bulls.

Winger Keelan Giles managed to get one more try for Ospreys in the final 10 minutes, but an intercept try by Springbok fullback Willie Roux was the final nail in the coffin.

The Bulls’ next URC match will be on the 11th of May, when they take on the Glasgow at home.
