Ipswich have been promoted to the Premier League after their final day Championship win over Huddersfield.

Kieran McKenna, the Fermanagh-born boss who guided Ipswich to promotion to the Championship last season, has brought the Tractor Boys back to English football’s top flight for the first time in 22 years.

Goals from Wes Burns and Omari Hutchinson sealed a 2-0 win for Ipswich, meaning Leeds United will now contest the promotion playoffs with Southampton, Norwich City and West Brom.

Leeds suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Southampton.

Norwich lost to Birmingham, but it wasn’t enough to keep the Blues in the Championship.

West Brom, meanwhile, enjoyed a 3-0 home win over Preston.
