The 21st-ranked Middlebury women’s golf team sits in fourth place following the first day of action at the NESCAC Championship. Fifth-ranked Williams leads the way with a score of 289, while spots two through four are tightly bunched with #22 Hamilton in second (311), #14 Amherst in third (312) and the Panthers (313).

HIGHLIGHTS
- Audrey Tir sits in a three-way tie for second place, shooting a two-over par 73. The Panther tallied a birdie on the par-four sixth hole and an eagle on the par-five 18th.
- Next for Middlebury is Morgan Lee, one of two players to card a 75 on the day. Lee also recorded a trio of birdies including one on the first and eighth holes.
- Posting a pair of birdies was Ella Han who is tied for 15th with two other players after shooting an 81.
- Sophia Hwang tallied birdies on the 14th and 18th holes on her way to an 84 to finish the day in a tie for 19th place.
- Rounding out the scorers for the Panthers is Mia Politanotied for 21st with an 85.

- Middlebury is seeking its first NESCAC Title.
After the second round concludes, the league champion will be decided on Sunday, May 5.
