The Evita Museum presents “The reason for its image”

The reason for its imagemade up of paintings and photographs from the Museum’s collection, on the occasion of the 105th anniversary of the birth of María Eva Duarte de Perón.

The exhibition proposes a dialogue between works by artists who represented Eva Peron and photographic documents that were able to capture expressions, gestures and work of a figure that crossed geographical and temporal limits.

Eva’s portraits transcended historical moments and were sustained despite everything, consolidating and prevailing in their time. The photographs, which are part of the INIHEP Audiovisual Documentation Center, several of them unpublished, are the connection with yesterday. Along with the paintings, collages and drawings, they present a creative impulse that is manifested in the Museum’s collection.

In this temporary exhibition designed for all audiences, a selection of works by renowned artists attempts to account for the infinite appropriations and meanings that Evita and her action continue to inspire.
