Homicide Investigation – Stabbing Suspect now charged with murder

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has charged 18-year-old Ibrahim OCAL, of Ottawa on May 2^n.d. stabbing death of a 15-year-old youth in the 100 block of Constellation Drive.

OCAL, who was originally charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a weapon by the Criminal Investigations Section, was charged with First degree murder.

He is scheduled to appear in court on May 8^th.

The victim, Ellis Smith, succumbed to his injuries on May 4^th. The family asks that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
