A reward of £20,000 has been offered by Crimestoppers for anonymous information about an attempted murder in Redditch.

The incident saw a firearm discharged on 26 March at 13:08 GMT on Ombersley Close.

Information is wanted on three men believed to be connected to the incident.

Alan Edwards from Crimestoppers said: “We encourage anyone who knows what happened and who was involved to talk to Crimestoppers 100% anonymously at any time.”

Crimestoppers said two of the three were seen shooting at one another over a car, which led to a bullet penetrating the vehicle.

One then proceeded to enter local residents’ gardens and was seen knocking on doors and asking to enter.

The third was believed to be on an electric bike, and all involved in the incident fled the scene shortly afterwards

West Mercia Police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.

One man, 48, and one woman, 20, were arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and both have now been released on bail.

A further woman, 20, was arrested on April 18 on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Det Ch Insp Ben Arrowsmith said: “We have a dedicated team investigating what happened that afternoon, and we are still appealing to anyone who may have any information that could help our investigation.

“I appreciate that not everyone feels comfortable speaking with the police and I want to stress information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.”
