The incident occurred at dawn on Monday in Olavarría at 1600.

The second death was confirmed as a result of the explosion and fire at the Olavarría family hotel at 1600, in Barracas (Comuna 4). A 62-year-old man remains in custody accused of committing an act of hate against four women because of his sexual orientation.

The woman who died this Wednesday had 90% of her body burned and was treated at the Burn Hospital in the Caballito neighborhood (Comuna 6). The first fatality died the same Monday, hours after the accident.

Another of the attacked women is admitted to the Penna Hospital with 75% of her body burned. A fourth victim is recovering from her injuries, but she is stabilized.

The man accused of having thrown a Molotov cocktail in the room where the four women were staying early Monday morning remains detained at the disposal of the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 14.

As soon as the fire occurred in the hotel, members of the City Police, SAME, Civil Defense and the Traffic Agent Corps were present, as well as firefighters from the area.

About 30 people were affected, while seven had to be hospitalized. In addition to the four women mentioned – including the two fatal victims – a 49-year-old woman, a 42-year-old pregnant woman and a 38-year-old man were taken to Argerich Hospital for carbon monoxide inhalation.
