Norwegian Escape will do its summer season from Barcelona as its home port

Norwegian Cruise Line sends the Norwegian Epic to Rome (Civitavecchia) and docks the new Norwegian Escape in the home port of Barcelona, which will be the one that sails from there in its summer season in Europe 2024.

On May 5, 2024, Norwegian Escape arrived at its seasonal home port before embarking on an 11-day voyage through Italy, France and the Greek Islands ending in Venice (Trieste), Italy.

The ship will return to Barcelona on May 26, 2024 and will travel regularly on eight to ten day round trip voyages around the Western Mediterranean, calling at one port each day.

Built in 2015 and renovated in 2022, Norwegian Escape can accommodate 4,218 guests at double occupancy and will offer more new guest experiences compared to Norwegian Epic.

This cruise offers a total of 19 different dining options, including Bayamo by Ocean Blue, a restaurant specializing in fresh seafood, Food Republic, from Asia and Latin America, and American Diner, a specialty burger restaurant.

It also includes 19 bars and lounges, including The District Brew House, with several types of craft beer, Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only terrace, and Sugarcane Mojito Bar, where guests can choose from a variety of mojitos.

From the point of view of activities and entertainment, guests will be able to enjoy the Aqua Racer free fall slides, a climb through the ship’s own Rope Circuit, among other options.

For more than a decade, Norwegian Epic has been the most desired choice for our Spanish guests sailing on Western Mediterranean voyages from Barcelona.“, Explain Sonia López Corrales, Senior Business Development Manager Spain and Portugal at Norwegian Cruise Line.

While the Norwegian Escape has left a certain mark on the hearts of Spaniards, the arrival of the Norwegian Escape at its home port signals a most exciting new chapter. With its extensive range of options, Norwegian Escape is ready to offer Spanish guests an incomparable vacation experience”.

Due to the popularity of land-based resorts, many travelers are unaware of the great value and wide offering of cruise experiences that exist. Unlike traditional land vacations, cruising allows guests to explore a new destination almost every day while enjoying a wide variety of onboard activities and amenities,” declares Kevin Bubolz, Vice President and General Manager Continental Europe, Middle East and Africa, Norwegian Cruise Line.

In addition to Norwegian Escape, four more NCL ships will set sail from Barcelona this summer.
