Gustavo Granados, president of the Citizen Movement in Aguascalientes, has reported on a significant incident during election day in the municipality of Cosío. Starting at minute 2:20 of the electoral process, It was reported that the ballots contained an error in the placement of the party name. This ruling could have a considerable impact, especially in a municipality where, according to Granados, Movimiento Ciudadano has a notable advantage.

The Public Local Electoral Organization (OPLE) of Aguascalientes has called an extraordinary session to evaluate the situation and determine if it is necessary to present a challenge or any legal appeal. Granados stressed the importance of this municipality for his party and the need to guarantee the transparency and legality of the process.

Observation and Transparency

In statements to the press, Granados highlighted the importance of maintaining strict surveillance during the elections. “We have to be very observant in these elections. Notaries Public must attest to any relevant facts,” said Granados, adding that they will wait for the results of the Preliminary Electoral Results Program (PREP) in the hope that everything goes well in Aguascalientes.

Participation of Karla Espinoza

On the other hand, Karla Espinoza, also from Movimiento Ciudadano, went to the polls to vote and expressed her satisfaction at participating in the race. Espinoza was optimistic about the development of the elections and, in particular, about the results of Jorge Álvarez Maynez, his party’s candidate.

Espinoza called on citizens to vote with conviction and not be influenced by the “dirty war” which, according to her, did not have the impact that some expected. “The useful vote is really going out to vote for who you believe would make a difference in the country,” Espinoza commented, underscoring the importance of casting a conscious and reflective vote.
