Taboada votes and says that ‘the lines of change’ are already visible; asks Batres not to get involved in the election

The candidate for Head of Government of Mexico City for the PAN, PRI and PRD, Santiago Taboada, voted this morning around 10:15 a.m. at the polling station located in Saturnino Herrán, Colonia San José Insurgentes in the Benito Juárez Mayor’s Office.

After casting his vote, Taboada congratulated the polling station officials and said that he expects great participation from citizens and that he has already seen “the lines of change.”

“That people do not stop lining up, that even if it is very hot, give it to Mexico City, that this day is for the next six years. You can already see the lines for change.

“Today is the last day that I am a candidate for the head of Government, in a few hours I will be the Head of Government of Mexico City”

Taboada also asked the Head of Government and the Police of Mexico City to let themselves get involved in the election, and that the people in the city “are already ready, they have already decided.”

The former mayor of Benito Juárez walked to the polling station with his partner around 8:30 a.m., lined up, and despite the officials and citizens telling him to go straight to voting, he preferred to stay in line.

Some shouted at him, Head of Government! Goverment’s head! Others shouted “Get out Morena!” While Taboada agreed to take photos with some citizens who recognized him.

Santiago Taboada said that around 5:00 p.m. he will arrive at his operations center located in the World Trade Center in Mexico City.
