MEMPHIS, TN (LPL) — Santos Morales’ family was returning from a trip to Memphis from Kentucky when misfortune occurred: the car they were traveling in was badly hit by another vehicle on Interstate 240 near the exit of Poplar Avenue.
The accident, which occurred on Wednesday, May 29, was due to a driver driving a Dodge Durango going in the wrong direction on the highway, colliding head-on with the Subaru driven by Santos Morales.
The balance was Santos, his wife Magdalena, his son Santos Enrique and the driver of the Durango lost their lives in the accident.
Santos’ niece, Arely Cruz Morales, is organizing a fundraiser to pay for funeral expenses and send the bodies to Mexico.
