Russia does not care who the next US president will be, as this would probably not change anything for Moscow, the president said Vladimir Putinand warned that the American judicial system is clearly being used in a political battle against donald trump.
Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, which he sees as a defensive move against an expanding US-led NATO, has seen the relationship between Moscow and Washington deteriorate to its worst since the US crisis. Cuban missiles of 1962.
Speaking to media editors at an economic forum in St. Petersburg, Putin said that Moscow does not care who wins, while accusing the government of Joe Biden of making mistake after mistake and “setting fire” to the United States’ political system and global leadership.

“Basically, we don’t care (who wins),” he said when asked - news agency whether he thought the outcome of the US election would make a difference for Moscow.
“We don’t think the final outcome matters much. We will work with whatever president the American people elect,” he added.
Calling current President Joe Biden a predictable, old-school politician, he asserted that Moscow would work with whoever wins and will not meddle in U.S. domestic politics, something it has been accused of repeatedly in the past by U.S. intelligence services.

Trump’s previous presidency damaged relations between the United States and Russia, he noted, and it is difficult to say whether it would be different this time if he won the November vote.
“We have never had any special ties with Mr. Trump, but the fact is that as president he began to impose massive sanctions on Russia, he withdrew from the treaty on intermediate and shorter range missiles,” Putin declared.
The Russian leader admitted that it was clear, however, that the US judicial system had been exploited by Trump’s political rivals to try to damage his electoral chances, a strategy that Putin said did not appear to be working.

It is obvious throughout the world that the persecution of Trump, especially in the courts for charges based on events that occurred years ago, without direct evidence “is simply using the judicial system in an internal political struggle,” Putin said.
