Independiente and Huracán shared points and some kicks

The classic had intensity, vertigo, at times good play, but in several passages there were strong fouls. In fact, the referee Diego Álvarez should have sent off Independiente’s central defender, Damián Álvarez, who crossed the boy Lautaro Alarcón very badly and literally took him off the field, because he should have been replaced 25 minutes into the game with his left tibia battered

Huracán opened the scoring with an accurate header from Sergio Martín, a former Independiente, after a corner kick 8 minutes into the match.

Independiente, who had started better, became nervous and in addition to advancing their lines, entered the terrain of abruptness, until Damiàn Álvarez’s disqualifying cross occurred, which could easily have been punished with expulsion.

In reality, earlier there was a foul on the left end of Independiente’s attack on Mauricio Barriga, which would have been a reason for a warning and he did not receive a card either.

Fernando Vázquez was also injured in the Rojinegro, receiving a blow to his left knee from which he could not recover either. Thus, the half of the field was left without patrolling, because Macarof, who is not physically well, is not the real Macarof, the one from Germinal, and his replacement in the complement, by Javier Prida, was fully justified.

Immediately, at 26 minutes, equality came after an overflow from Martín Francezón from the right, a cross into the area and a half turn from Gonzalo Ramírez to place the ball towards the far post of Mauricio Muñoz from Córdoba.

The game continued to have intensity, but both lost precision, except for a clear action by Huracán, in which Jeremías Levicoy – Alarcón’s replacement – was one-on-one with Evans, but he was quick to define and threw it anywhere.

Spirits calmed down in the second half and it seemed that Huracán achieved a slight dominance due to the spaces left by the home team, especially in the middle. Even again Sergio Martín picked up a ball outside the area and his shot from close range was well neutralized by Ansel Evans.

Independiente responded with a shot from the admitted Adrián Moraga – Ramírez’s replacement – that Mauricio Muñoz spectacularly took over the crossbar.

With the changes in the middle, Independiente managed the final part of the game better and had two clear chances: the first a shot by the intermittent Mauricio Barriga that was lost near the post and the clearest, a one-on-one from Prida, to which Muñoz he put the body.

The refereeing in general terms was good, although in the second half there was another striking play, in favor of Huracán, with Levicoy and Casal hand in hand with a man from Independiente that Àlvarez stopped to take a foul in favor of Globo, 30 meters more back, without applying any card that would have merited the stoppage of the game and above all the removal of the benefit of the law of advantage for the attacking team, Huracán of course.
