This June 10th began the registration to take the Higher Education Access Test (PAES) regular, with a view to university admission for the year 2025, a process that will last until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 29.
The Ministry of Education (Mineduc) stressed that “there will not be an extraordinary period” for registration.
In addition, on this occasion six new communes or localities will be added for the surrender, adding a total of 201 throughout the country:
- Punitaqui, Coquimbo Region
- Maipo Island, Metropolitan Region
- María Pinto, Metropolitan Region
- Cabrero, Biobío Region
- Carahue, Araucanía Region
- Frutillar, Los Lagos Region
How do I register for PAES 2024?
To register and take the PAES 2024, those interested must:
- Enter the websites Mineduc Access either Demre
- Complete the entire form
- Download your ID Card
“Students who are currently in 4th grade must enroll in the two mandatory tests (Reading Competence and Mathematical Competence 1), and at least one elective test (Science and/or History and Social Sciences), in addition to the Mathematical Competence test. 2 (M2) if the career of your interest requests it,” details the Mineduc.
How to obtain the PAES Scholarship?
Students who graduate from schools dependent on municipalities, Local Public Education Services (SLEP), delegated administration or subsidized private schools in 2024 have a PAES Scholarship, and do not pay registration fees.
On the other hand, those who graduate from High School in previous years, and who can select between 1 and 5 tests, must pay the corresponding fee:
- 1 test: 15,350 pesos
- 2 tests: 28,100
- 3 or more tests: 40,850
As in 2023, when registering the PAES for Mathematical Competence 1 (M1), the PAES for Mathematical Competence 2 (M2) can be registered for free, and vice versa.
When will PAES 2024 be?
The Regular PAES 2024 will be given on Monday, December 2, Tuesday, December 3 and Wednesday, December 4.
“Unlike the winter PAES, this surrender does not have limited places and those who have graduated from High School in 2023 or previous years can register, as well as students who are currently studying 4th grade,” explains the authority.
To apply in the 2025 admission process The scores obtained in the Winter PAES are also validwhich will surrender during this month of June -on the 17th, 18th and 19th-, and those of the PAES Winter 2023 and Regular 2023corresponding to the 2024 Admission Process.
