Atlanta, June 27 (EFE).- Minutes before the expected electoral debate, the president of the United States, Joe Biden, mocked the accusations of his rival, Donald Trump, who accuses him of taking substances to improve his performance and , in a message on X, promoted what he called his “secret sauce” and warned: “I feel quite encouraged.”

“I don’t know what these performance enhancers have, but I feel pretty encouraged. Try it for yourself, friends. See you in a bit,” the president said in his message.

Biden, dressed in a navy suit and light blue tie, appeared in photos posted on X holding a can the campaign has dubbed “Dark Brandom’s secret sauce,” an alter ego of the president created by the campaign to mock an attack on him by Trump.

The message in X links to a website that features the can, which sells for $4.60, and shows an image of the alter ego with laser eyes and the message: “Let’s face it, it’s just water.”

The goal of this initiative is to raise funds through small donations. In fact, Biden’s team had its best time of grassroots fundraising this afternoon, between 6:00 and 7:00 p.m. local time, according to a member of the team who told EFE.

“The secret to a good debate performance? Stay hydrated. Get the same boosters that Joe Biden took before going on stage,” reads the fundraising campaign.
