Marcela Pagano announced her pregnancy on social networks: “I couldn’t wait to shout this news”

Marcela Pagano, national representative for La Libertad Avanza, announced her pregnancy in social networks. She did so through a statement published on her official Instagram account. “I couldn’t wait to be able to shout this news”said the journalist.

“Hello everyone: I want to tell you that I am happily pregnant. I couldn’t wait to be able to shout this news, but just today I have confirmation after many twists and turns with my health that this baby is fine,” the legislator indicated at the beginning of her statement.

Then, Pagano added: “As is public knowledge, I froze eggs a long time ago pursuing this dream that today is finally a reality. Of course I have to continue taking care of myself because this baby depends 100% on me.”

“Thank you for so much love that you always share with me from this network, and I apologize in advance for not being able to respond to each message. My anxiety to tell it was great!! Thank you God for this miracle. “There are never impossible things when you don’t give up trying to achieve a dream,” she concluded.

It is worth remembering that in mid-April, the former journalist was hospitalized for several days due to a stomach problem. It was triggered by a spike in stress following a strong confrontation within the libertarian bloc.

That political conflict originated in the Impeachment Commission of the Chamber of Deputies. The president of the body, Martín Menem, had ordered the suspension of the meeting called to appoint authorities because they assured that there was no internal consensus for Marcela Pagano to be elected as its president. The former journalist and Oscar Zago, the former head of the bench, argued that they had the approval of Javier Milei and pointed out that the cancellation came too late, when the quorum of the commission had already been established.

As the PRO deputies had been contacted by Menem, they did not come to the meeting and left the libertarians in a large minority. Pagano and Zago then claim that they decided to occupy the Presidency (reserved to the ruling party due to its strategic nature) because they ran the risk that the opposition blocs would end up reaching an agreement to appoint a legislator from another space.

Menem stated that from a regulatory point of view “whoever has the powers to call a constitutive meeting also has the powers to suspend it.” That is why he stated that the meeting “did not take place and as a consequence, it is not constituted.”

The attitude of Zago and Pagano was seen by the president of the House as a challenge your authority. But the internal one did not stop there. At the caucus meeting the next day, Zago was removed as block leader; therefore, days later He broke with the ruling party and created his own space along with two other legislators from the party MID. The Cordovan Gabriel Bornoronia man very close to Karina Milei, was elected as the new head of the bench, almost unanimously.

Then, tensions with Pagano continued because the bloc demanded that he not validate what the commission had done and allow the new election of authorities (which was finally postponed due to the treatment of the Bases Law).
