Emphasizing the lack of protection of the inhabitants of the province in the face of increases in the prices of public services, especially natural gas, Claudia Bard, head of the Chubut Ombudsman’s Office, made a presentation at the Federal Court of Rawson, to charge of Dr. Hugo Sastre, to prevent the effects of resolutions 41/2024 and 122/2024 of the National Energy Secretariat and ENARGAS from being applied, with the purpose of avoiding the application of new tariff tables in the tariff subzones Cordillerano, Buenos Aires Sur and Chubut Sur, by the company Camuzzi Gas del Sur.
The increases in Chubut generally exceed 400%, reaching maximum limits of 4,000%: “We present the most representative cases of residential and commercial properties in each region to account for and credit the increases. We also request the return of the money in the event that the suspension is generated and on the other hand the impossibility of cuts,” explained Bard in communication with Time Chain.
Now, the Court will have an extendable period of 15 days to rule on the protection presented.
