Margara was asked about the statistics on the number of vehicles in the city with this type of modified exhaust, in this regard the councilor mentioned “there are many cars and motorcycles with these exhausts, the traffic law prohibits them but it is not controlled, What the ordinance is going to do is give the tools to the municipality inspectors to be able to fine these people.”
He made it very clear that the application of the current National Traffic Law is not enough to reduce vehicle exhaust as intended with this ordinance, “the traffic law is not enough, this ordinance is in many places, the idea is not “It is to prohibit, but to give them a deadline and to update them, if the person has the vehicle for exhibitions, in those exhibitions they can use it if it is authorized, but not drive on public roads,” he said.
