In a recent interview on the Chilevisión program “We Can Talk,” the actor Luis Gnecco recalled an uncomfortable episode that occurred in 2018, when Raquel Argandoña’s son, Nano Calderón, arrived at his ex-wife’s house to confront him.

It all started as a result of some derogatory comments that Gnecco made about Argandoña and Patricia Maldonado in defense of her friend Amparo Noguera, after her dismissal from TVN.

During the conversation on the program, Gnecco explained: “I always said many things (…) So you can see what I am like. I did it, because I saw some statements against Amparo, and I said: ‘I’m going to defend my friend.’” On that occasion, Gnecco referred to Argandoña and Maldonado as “old culs…”which unleashed a strong reaction from the son of “Quintrala”.

“Lucho, stop talking nonsense”

The actor recalled how his ex-wife warned him about Calderón’s unexpected visit: “Later, Raquel Argandoña’s son went to my first ex-wife’s house, and she told me: ‘Lucho, stop talking nonsense.’ Every time you say something stupid, they come looking for you, because they think you still live here.”.

Gnecco expressed concern about Calderón’s impulsive character and the possibility of a confrontation with his own son: “The goat, who was a little fast-paced, could have gotten into trouble with my son, who is more or less the same age.”.

The situation became serious enough for Gnecco to decide to take action and rectify his statements. In a gesture of conciliation, he called Raquel Argandoña and Patricia Maldonado’s radio program to publicly apologize. “I apologized to them on air, and I think they stayed inside (…) A very good conversation was generated with Patricia Maldonado (…) When one goes too far, you have to know how to apologize,” stated the actor.
