Hamas’s armed wing accuses Israel of killing hostages during its operation in central Gaza

MADRID, June 8 (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Ezzeldin al Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have accused the Israeli Army this Saturday of killing hostages during their operation in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip, in which they have managed to rescue four kidnapped by the Palestinian militia.

The spokesman for the Ezedin al Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, has pointed out that Israel has committed “horrible massacres” in Nuseirat and that, although it has managed to free some of its captives, at the same time it has killed others during the operation.

Likewise, Obeida has assured that other hostages could be in danger and has stressed that the operation could have had a “devastating impact” on their lives, according to a statement collected by the newspaper ‘Filastin’, related to the Islamist group.

At least 210 people have died and more than 400 have been injured by a wave of Israeli attacks launched against several areas of central Gaza, mainly Nuseirat, the scene of an Army operation that has resulted in the rescue of four hostages alive. They were in the hands of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas).
