Ulises Bueno played in Spain and moved the audience to tears: “It is fulfilling a dream”

This Saturday in Spain, Ulises Bueno moved the Argentine public to tears. The quartet singer continues his European tour and last night he performed in Valencia with Karina La Princesita in one of the side shows of the Vibra Argentina Festival.

Lucas Matías, photographer from Revista Broda, told The voice How was the recital that started around 10pm and lasted two hours? Despite the summer storm that had broken out outside, the singer drove everyone crazy and gave a concert that lived up to expectations at the Sala Madison in the Massanassa Valencia neighborhood.

“People were very excited. They gave him things to sign. He, the best. From a musical point of view, he was a Show impeccable, you could see a lot of professionalism, both from Ulysses and his live band. The predisposition of the crazy guy is impressive,” says Lucas with special enthusiasm.

And then he adds: “A storm broke out! Luckily we all got in quickly and the Show It started very early. It got cool outside, but inside it was the heat of the quartet. It was very good, really. 98% of the audience were Argentinians. There were many people from Córdoba who shouted when Ulises named the neighborhoods. “They were all very happy.”

Ulises Bueno in Valencia: Tribute to Rodrigo and a talk at the end of the show

The photographer says that Ulises Bueno paid tribute to Rodrigo with four or five hit songs and that this further unleashed the madness that was being experienced in the Spanish city.

“Everything exploded there. When the Showthe people asked him for another one and he returned to sing to them Come on, old lady, come on. In the end, Ulysses came down from the stage and many people were waiting for him to take a photo. He took a photo with almost everyone, but as they kept coming, he took a group photo and left,” he says.

Thanks to the good disposition and work of the Vibra Argentina Festival, the photographer (who defines himself as “from Buenos Aires by birth, but of Córdoban nationality”) was able to interview Ulises at the end of the concert, before Karina La came up to play. Little princess

“The tour is being beautiful. Yesterday we were in Bilbao and now we are going to Alicante and we close the Show. The truth is that for me it is fulfilling a dream. It is fulfilling the dream of our pioneers, those who taught us this quartet culture, both La Mona Jiménez and Rodrigo, who defended it a lot at the national level in Argentina. Today it is up to this new generation to be able to cross the border,” highlights the singer.

The quartet: The cultural heritage that crossed the border with its people

Both he and La Konga, Q’ Lokura and other quartet bands were able to take their music to Europe, produce tours and fill stages, something that not only makes them proud but also the entire country. “It fills us with pride to know that our music is transcending, that it is crossing the border to become more and more cultural heritage of our music,” says the interviewee.

Asked about the excitement of the Argentines who went to see him in Valencia and other places in Spain, Ulises points out: “People go through a lot of stages during the Show. You especially see it when the song takes them to a moment in their life, a memory from when they were in Argentina. We know that many of the people who are here did not come because they liked her and stayed on vacation.”

“In other words, people came here for an economic reason, to get out of the insecurity, the violence, everything that we have to go through in the country. So from the stage you see that there are emotions, tears, joy and fun. And of course also the party that our musical genre transmits, where nostalgia and life stories are reflected,” he adds.

Lucas asks Ulises about the fun moment he had at the Ezeiza airport following a flight delay and he tells him with amusement: “We were already tired of waiting. It was practically 48 hours. A lot. So well, we wanted to spend time making music. We merged with Karina’s musicians who were there too. We took out the accordion and started doing a cumbia and quartet duel. At one point, people asked me to sing and I couldn’t refuse, it’s what I love to do. It was born that way, we added a little joy and fun to all those stressful hours waiting at the airport.”

At the end of his tour in Spain, Ulises Bueno will return to Córdoba to celebrate his birthday on June 29 in Forja and then he will pack his bags again to embark with his band on a tour of Mexico and the United States.

“We want to fulfill our dream, which is to bring our music to the world, but at the same time we do not want to abandon our Córdoba, our Argentina, our roots that have nourished us for so many years. “We are trying to schedule things accordingly so we can meet everyone,” she says.
